Mistake Mastery

Pilot terms

Last updated 5 September 2026.

Mistake Mastery is running an invitation-only pilot with a small number of families. This page says plainly what that means, what it costs, and what you can expect from us. It is short on purpose.

What the pilot is

A working product being used by real families while we learn what needs fixing. Everything described on the home page works today. Some of it will change while you're using it, and occasionally something will be wrong.

What it costs

Nothing during the pilot. No card, no trial that quietly converts. If we later introduce a subscription we will tell you first, and pilot families keep a founding rate of $12.99 a month for as long as they stay subscribed. You will never be charged without choosing to be.

What we ask of you

What you can expect from us

About the explanations

Explanations and practice questions are produced with AI and checked automatically, including by having a second, independent model verify answers the first was unsure about. It is not perfect. If an answer looks wrong, use the report button — a person reviews it, and once a human has ruled on an answer, that ruling stands and the machine cannot overturn it.

Mistake Mastery is a study aid. It does not replace a teacher or tutor, and we make no promise about exam results — no honest product could.

Stopping

Leave whenever you like, with no notice and no exit conversation. Deleting the account in the app removes everything immediately. You can also just ask us to do it.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running and backed up nightly, but during a pilot there may be interruptions. Please don't treat the app as the only copy of anything that matters to you — keep the original papers.

Who you're dealing with

Mistake Mastery is currently operated by its founder as an individual, based in New South Wales, Australia. A company is being established, and these terms will be replaced by full Terms of Service in its name — we will email you when that happens. Nothing about how your data is handled changes at that point.
